Kolkata, 08 June (H.S.) :

Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Shreya Pande appeared at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office at the CGO Complex in Kolkata on Monday, where she is being questioned in connection with the “Sona Pappu” case.

Pande had been summoned by the agency to appear on Tuesday; however, she reached the ED office a day earlier than scheduled. Officials said she is being questioned as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities linked to the case.

According to ED sources, several chats and digital communications recovered from seized mobile phones and other electronic devices have reportedly mentioned Shreya Pande’s name. Based on these findings, she was called for questioning. The agency is also examining suspected financial transactions and digital evidence as part of the probe.

However, Shreya Pande has stated on social media that she visited the ED office voluntarily and that she had not received any fresh summons for Monday. She has also denied any violation of summons and claimed she does not know the individual referred to as “Sona Pappu”.

Sources further indicate that her close associate Kalyan Shukla was previously questioned in the same case, during which documents related to alleged land fraud were reportedly recovered from his residence.

Investigators are also examining allegations regarding Pande’s presence at a Kali Puja event hosted at the residence of businessman Jay Kamdar, who has been arrested in connection with the case. Several political figures are also said to have attended the event.

The interrogation is currently underway, and further action will depend on the outcome of the investigation.
