Guwahati, 05 June (HS): 12 legislators set to join the Assam Council of Ministers under Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will be sworn in as Cabinet Ministers on Friday. The oath-taking ceremony will be held in the state capital.

The legislators to be inducted into the Cabinet are Ashwini Rai Sarkar, Ashok Singhal, Bimal Bora, Biswajit Daimary, Jayanta Malla Baruah, Kaushik Rai, Keshab Mahanta, Krishnendu Paul, Nandita Gorlosa, Pijush Hazarika, Ranoj Pegu and Sushanta Borgohain, all of whom will take the oath as Cabinet Ministers.

The swearing-in ceremony will be attended by Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, senior government officials and other dignitaries.

The event will be held at Jyoti-Bishnu International Convention Centre in Guwahati. Preparations for the ceremony have been completed.---------
