Guwahati, 28 June (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said the state government has intensified its crackdown against fake medical practitioners, with 59 cases registered and 62 fake doctors arrested from different parts of the state.

Sharing the update on his official Facebook page, the Chief Minister said the government's action against fake doctors is continuing and warned that any attempt to endanger public lives through fraudulent medical practices will not be tolerated.

Dr. Sarma stated that the ongoing drive reflects the government's commitment to safeguarding the lives of citizens. He asserted that strict action would continue across all sectors to ensure public safety and bring offenders to justice.

The Chief Minister added that the recent arrests of fake medical practitioners from Barak Valley and Dhubri district reaffirm the government's resolve to eliminate such illegal activities and protect public health.----------
