OBNINSK, Russia, June 26 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Russian-designed nuclear power plants are the most in demand in the world, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Friday.

Only Russia today has competencies in the entire technological chain of nuclear energy. And due to their safety and resistance to external influences, nuclear power plants built according to Russian design are the most in demand in the world, Mishustin said in a video message to the participants of the International Youth Nuclear Forum Obninsk New.

Additionally, the official said that almost 40 nuclear power units are planned to be built in Russia in the coming years.
