into a world-class aviation and cargo hub will strengthen connectivity, boost

trade and logistics, and accelerate economic growth across Vidarbha and beyond.

With the availability of a separate runway for passengers and cargo at Dr.

Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, there has been a significant

boost to investment in the aviation sector. Today, under the leadership of Hon.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the handover of Nagpur Airport to 'GMR'

is taking place. This airport will give a new identity to central India as a

strong ecosystem and cargo hub,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during Handing

Over and Taking Over of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur

from MIHAN India Limited to GMR Aero

The event held in the presence of CM Devendra Fadnavis,

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu. MP

Maya Ivnate, MP Praful Patel, MLC Dr. Parinay Fuke, MLA Sameer Meghe, Nagpur

Mayor Neeta Thakre, Deputy Mayor Leela Hathibed, Chairman of GMR Airports, G B

S Raju and other dignitaries were present.

Meanwhile, a formal puja ceremony was performed at Dr.

Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, on the occasion of the

handover from Mihan India Limited to GMR Aero. On this occasion, Chief Minister

Devendra Fadnavis was present and took darshan. On this occasion, MP Maya

Iwanate, MLA Dr. Parinay Fuke, Chairman of GMR Airports GBS Raju, and other

dignitaries were present.

Similarly, the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union

Minister Nitin Gadkari unveiled the logo of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar

International Airport, Nagpur, by pressing the button in the presence of Union

Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu. On this occasion, MP Maya Ivanate, MP

Praful Patel, Nagpur's Mayor Nita Thakare, GMR's Business Chairman GBS Raju,

and other dignitaries were present.

Moreover, in the chief presence of Chief Minister Devendra

Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and at the hands of Union Minister

Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, the website of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International

Airport, Nagpur, was inaugurated by pressing the button. On this occasion, MP

Maya Eknath, MP Praful Patel, Nagpur's Mayor Nita Thakare, GMR Airports

Chairman GBS Raju, and other dignitaries were present.
