Lucknow, 25 June (HS): Agriculture Production Commissioner Deepak

Kumar conducted a detailed review of the preparations for the Uttar Pradesh

Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 and provided necessary guidelines to the

concerned Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates and senior police

officers.

The Agriculture Production Commissioner directed that the

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test be conducted in a safe, fair,

transparent, and orderly manner, in accordance with established standards.

Special vigilance should be exercised at every level, from the security of

examination materials to the monitoring of examination centers. Candidates

should be checked and frisked with utmost seriousness.

He said that confidential examination materials should be

stored in a double-lock system in the treasury, and that question papers and

other confidential materials should be transported under the custody of the

Sector Magistrate. Examination centers should be continuously monitored through

CCTV cameras from control rooms established at the centers.

The Agricultural Production Commissioner said that the

entire process of opening, distributing, and resealing the question papers

after the examination should be carried out in accordance with prescribed

standards. To this end, all personnel involved in the examination should be

sensitized and trained in advance, so that there is no possibility of any

errors.

He also directed that the entire process be videographed to

eliminate any possibility of irregularities. Furthermore, the Static Magistrate

should assign rooms to invigilators, impose a complete ban on the use of mobile

phones and other electronic devices, obtain a No Relation

Certificate from all concerned personnel, and ensure strict adherence to

the prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in packing and sealing

examination materials. He also directed that arrangements be made for

transportation, medical care, drinking water availability, and uninterrupted

power supply. He also directed that necessary arrangements be made in view of

the summer season and the expected monsoon.

The meeting was informed that the Upper Primary Teacher

Eligibility Test will be held in two shifts on July 2, 2026, and in the first

shift on July 3, 2026. The Primary Level exam will be held in the second shift

on July 3, 2026, and in the first shift on July 4, 2026. The first shift will

be held from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm, and the second shift will be held from 2:30

pm to 5:00 pm. The exam will be held at 955 examination centers in 60 districts

of the state, with a total of 19,94,661 candidates participating. Principal Secretary,

Higher Education,M.P. Agarwal, Chairman of the Education Commission, Prashant

Kumar, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
