
Guwahati, 23 June (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations on the 75th Foundation Day of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), praising its contribution to development, welfare and empowerment in the region.
In a message shared on social media, the Chief Minister said the Council’s 75-year journey reflects its commitment to the ideals of justice, equality and public service. He expressed hope that the path of development and public welfare would grow stronger in the years ahead.
Dr. Sarma noted that the rich culture, traditions and tribal pride of Karbi Anglong have continuously enriched Assam’s social and cultural landscape. He described the milestone as a symbol of the heritage, resilience and aspirations of the people of the hill district.
The Chief Minister also wished for the continued progress of the Council and prosperity of the people of Karbi Anglong, expressing confidence that the institution would further strengthen peace, development and inclusive growth across the region.----------
