New Delhi, 20 June (H.S.):

Union Minister for Labour and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on Saturday said women are not merely participants in India's development journey but the true architects of the nation's future, asserting that the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 cannot be achieved without their full participation, leadership and economic contribution.

Addressing the fifth NAREDCO Mahi Real Estate Conference 2026 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, Dr. Mandaviya said equal participation of women is indispensable for building a developed India. He emphasised that women are central to economic growth, social transformation and nation-building.

He said the country's journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047 would remain incomplete without the active involvement of women in leadership roles and across all sectors of the economy.

Highlighting the significance of the NAREDCO Mahi initiative, the Minister said it has evolved beyond a discussion platform into a powerful movement that is creating opportunities for women professionals, entrepreneurs and changemakers in the real estate sector.

Women are not merely participants in India's growth story; they are its architects, Dr. Mandaviya said, adding that empowering women would strengthen industries, enrich society and accelerate national progress.

He noted that the conference theme reflects the need to expand opportunities for women and break long-standing stereotypes. When women lead, industries grow, society prospers and the nation moves forward, he said.

In a post on X, the Minister said a strong construction industry forms the foundation of Viksit Bharat. He added that he inaugurated the NAREDCO Mahi Conference during India Buildcon and had the opportunity to visit various exhibitions showcasing building materials and innovations in the sector.

NAREDCO Mahi Chairperson Smita Patil recalled the organisation's five-year journey, saying the initiative has grown into a strong nationwide network promoting women's leadership in the real estate industry. She said the organisation is actively working in the areas of skill development, mentorship, entrepreneurship, sustainability and community engagement.

The NAREDCO Mahi Real Estate Conference 2026, organised under the theme From Influence to Inspiration, focuses on strengthening women's participation and leadership in the real estate sector while encouraging greater inclusivity and professional growth.
