New Delhi, 20 June (H.S.): Punjab National Bank (PNB), in partnership with financial technology company Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services Limited, has launched a new co-branded 'Twin' credit card that offers customers the combined benefits of both the Visa and RuPay payment networks.
In a statement issued on Saturday, PNB said the co-branded 'PNB-Zaggle Credit Card' has been designed to provide greater flexibility and convenience to users. The environmentally friendly cards are manufactured using biodegradable materials, keeping sustainability-conscious consumers in mind.
According to the bank, the card features a dual-network option that combines Visa's global acceptance and travel-related benefits with RuPay's lifestyle privileges and UPI-enabled payment functionality. The initiative is aimed at strengthening PNB's presence in India's underpenetrated credit card market while catering to the growing demand from young and digitally savvy customers.
Punjab National Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ashok Chandra said the bank remains committed to developing innovative digital payment solutions tailored to the evolving needs of young, technology-driven consumers. He noted that India's credit card market still offers significant growth potential and described the partnership with Zaggle as an important step towards expanding and strengthening the bank's credit card business.
Avinash Ramesh Godkhindi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services Limited, said the collaboration forms a key part of the company's strategy to develop customer-centric financial technology products that offer greater convenience and an enhanced user experience.
The launch reflects the shared objective of PNB and Zaggle to deliver innovative payment solutions while expanding digital financial services and promoting wider adoption of credit card usage across India.
