Amaravati/Hyderabad, June 2 (HS): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday extended greetings on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day and said Hyderabad and Amaravati should emerge as among the finest cities in the world.

In a message posted on social media platform X, Naidu noted that June 2 marks 12 years since the formation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as separate states.

Today marks 12 years since the formation of two states for the Telugu people. Even though they were formed as two separate states, the Telugu nation remains forever one, he said.

The Chief Minister said Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should compete in development and progress while working towards the common goal of improving the lives of Telugu-speaking people.

Telangana on one side and Andhra Pradesh on the other should compete in development and race ahead, he stated.

Naidu said the Telugu land, with its rich history, culture and heritage, should achieve greater milestones in the years ahead.

He expressed the hope that Telangana's capital Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh's capital Amaravati would evolve into globally recognised cities.

He further said the benefits of development should reach every Telugu family and help improve living standards across both states.

Referring to the vision of a developed India by 2047, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should work together and play a significant role in the country's progress while showcasing the glory and cultural heritage of the Telugu people.
