New Delhi, 19 June (H.S.): The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday issued a fresh advisory to candidates appearing for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, urging them to download their admit cards well before the examination scheduled for Sunday, June 21. The agency also cautioned students and parents against fraudulent messages and misleading claims circulating on social media and messaging platforms.

In an official update, the NTA said it has begun sending reminder SMS messages, emails and verified WhatsApp notifications to candidates to ensure they receive authentic information regarding the examination. The agency advised aspirants to rely only on official communication channels and avoid responding to unverified messages or offers claiming to provide question papers, answer keys or other examination-related services.

The NTA clarified that admit cards should be downloaded only through its official portal and stressed that its verified WhatsApp account, identified by a blue verification badge, is being used solely to send genuine updates to candidates. It reiterated that it does not authorise any individual or organisation to sell examination material or guarantee admission through unfair means. Students have also been asked to report suspicious messages, fake websites and cyber fraud to the appropriate authorities.

The re-examination follows the cancellation of the original NEET-UG 2026 test, which was conducted on May 3 but was annulled after allegations of a question paper leak raised concerns over the integrity of the examination process. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is continuing its investigation into the alleged paper leak and related irregularities.

The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination will be held on Sunday, June 21, with the NTA assuring candidates that comprehensive security measures have been implemented to ensure a fair, transparent and secure examination process. Aspirants have been advised to carry their admit cards, a valid photo identification document and other required materials to their allotted examination centres. They have also been instructed to strictly follow all guidelines mentioned on the admit card to ensure a smooth and hassle-free examination experience.
