Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised the Indian community in Paris for its enduring connection with the motherland and its significant role in deepening the strategic partnership between India and France.

Addressing members of the Indian diaspora during his visit to the French capital,PM Modi acknowledged their contribution to strengthening bilateral ties and described them as valued ambassadors of India's culture, talent, and democratic values.

In a message shared on social media after the event, the Prime Minister said he was pleased to interact with the Indian community in Paris and appreciated their unwavering affection for India. He said their commitment to preserving their cultural roots while contributing to French society had played an important role in bringing the people of the two countries closer together.

India and France have steadily strengthened their relationship over the years through close cooperation in defence, space, civil nuclear energy, climate action, trade, and emerging technologies. The Indian community in France has also become an important bridge in promoting economic collaboration, academic partnerships, and cultural exchanges.

PM Modi's interaction with the diaspora formed part of his official engagements in Paris, where he participated in high-level meetings and events aimed at further enhancing bilateral cooperation and reinforcing India's global partnerships.
