New Delhi, 18 June (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that wealth follows integrity, fame follows selfless service, knowledge is attained through constant practice, and wisdom is shaped by one's actions. He underlined that these timeless values play a vital role in building individual character and fostering collective progress.

In a post on X on Thursday, the Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit subhashita:

“सत्यानुसारिणी लक्ष्मीः कीर्तिस्त्यागानुसारिणी।

अभ्याससारिणी विद्या बुद्धिः कर्मानुसारिणी।।

Explaining its meaning, the Prime Minister said that prosperity follows truth, fame is earned through sacrifice, knowledge is acquired through persistent practice, and wisdom develops in accordance with a person's actions.

The verse underscores the importance of truthfulness, selflessness, diligence, and righteous conduct. It conveys the message that embracing these enduring virtues is essential for achieving success, earning respect, and leading a meaningful life.
