
New Delhi, 18 June (H.S.): Hockey India on Thursday congratulated experienced midfielder Neha for completing 200 international appearances for India. She achieved the milestone during India's match against Uruguay in the FIH Hockey Women's Nations Cup in Auckland, New Zealand.
Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey praised Neha for the remarkable achievement and lauded her long-standing contribution to international hockey.
He said completing 200 international matches is a tremendous milestone in any athlete's career. Neha has been an integral part of India's midfield for more than a decade. Her ability to handle challenging situations on the field reflects her inner strength and character. She has consistently delivered outstanding performances for the national team in major tournaments. We salute her invaluable contribution to Indian hockey and wish her continued success in the national jersey.
Hockey India Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh also extended his congratulations on the historic achievement.

Expressing her delight at reaching the landmark, Neha said she was extremely happy and excited to have completed 200 international matches for India.
She said representing the country has always been a matter of immense pride. She thanked her family and former Indian captain Pritam Rani Siwach for standing by her through every high and low. Neha also expressed gratitude to Hockey India, her teammates, and the coaching staff for believing in her and guiding her throughout her career.
Born in Sonipat, Haryana, Neha began playing hockey under the guidance of former India captain Pritam Rani Siwach. She made her international debut at the FIH Champions Challenge held in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2014.
Since making her debut, Neha has established herself as one of the most dependable midfielders in the Indian women's hockey team.
She has been a central figure during one of the most successful phases in the history of the national team. Neha was a key member of the Indian squad that achieved a historic fourth-place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Her distinguished career also includes a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where she played a vital role in India's podium finish.
In addition, Neha was instrumental in India's title-winning campaign at the 2022 FIH Women's Nations Cup. She also won a bronze medal at the 2023 Asian Games and most recently helped India secure the silver medal at the 2025 Women's Hockey Asia Cup.
She was also a member of the Indian teams that won gold medals at the Women's Asian Champions Trophy tournaments held in Ranchi and Rajgir.
