UPSC Declares Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination Result


New Delhi, June 16 (HS): The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday declared the result of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2026 for admission to the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination.

According to the Commission, 1,046 candidates have qualified for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2026 against 80 vacancies notified for the year. The preliminary examination was conducted on May 24.

UPSC said the candidature of all qualified candidates is provisional and subject to fulfilment of eligibility conditions.

The Commission said shortlisted candidates will be required to complete online formalities, including payment of examination fees, submission of details relating to scribes and assistive devices, wherever applicable, and indicating cadre preferences through an online portal. The schedule for the online submission process will be announced separately on the UPSC website.

UPSC also informed that the result of one candidate has been withheld due to the pendency of a court case.

The Commission said marks, cut-off marks and answer keys of the Preliminary Examination will be published only after completion of the entire Civil Services Examination and Indian Forest Service Examination process and declaration of final results.
