Muscat, 15 June (HS): India's Ambassador to Oman, Prashant Pise, met the 20 Indian crew members of MT Jalveer in Muscat ahead of their repatriation to India and wished them a safe journey home.

The Embassy of India in Oman said the crew members were safely evacuated ashore in coordination with Omani authorities following the incident involving the vessel on June 11.

MT Jalveer was carrying 24 crew members, including 20 Indian nationals, when it encountered an incident near Oman's Shinas port. All those on board were reported safe and were subsequently brought ashore with the assistance of local authorities.

The embassy said it remains committed to extending prompt assistance and support to Indian nationals in distress and ensuring their welfare and safe return home.
