TEHRAN, June 15 (HS/RIA Novosti) - In a memorandum of understanding with the United States, Iran reaffirms its commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and pledges not to develop nuclear weapons, the Iranian news agency Mehr reported.

Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed the completion of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, and its signing will take place on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland.

Iran reaffirms its commitment to the NPT and also confirms that it does not intend to develop nuclear weapons, Mehr quotes the draft memorandum.
