MOSCOW, June 12 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Four US Air Force C-17 aircraft are moving equipment to Geneva ahead of a possible trip by US Vice President JD Vance to sign a US-Iran deal, Axios reported on Friday.
On Thursday, US President Donald Trump said on Truth Social that he had canceled bombing strikes on Iran scheduled for Thursday evening, adding that he would soon announce the time and place for signing an agreement with Tehran. The final terms of the agreement with Iran have been agreed upon by all participating parties - the United States, Israel and other states, Trump said.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei confirmed that the text of a memorandum of understanding with the US had been agreed on key points, Iran's Press TV reported.
On February 28, the US and Israel began striking targets on Iranian territory, with the attacks claiming more than 3,000 lives. On April 8, Washington and Tehran announced a ceasefire, which remains formally in effect. Parallel to this, a negotiation process is underway between Iran and the US, with the countries attempting to finalize a framework memorandum of understanding. At the same time, the parties occasionally exchange isolated strikes.
