
Varanasi, 10 June (HS): Celebrations and service filled the
air in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, on
Wednesday, marking the completion of 12 years of his uninterrupted term. Led by
state Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar, BJP workers distributed fruits to patients
at the primary health center in Chiraigaon. The Cabinet Minister also wished
the patients a speedy recovery.
Speaking to reporters outside the hospital, Minister Anil
Rajbhar mentioned the central government's public welfare schemes and
improvements in health services. He said that under Prime Minister Modi's
leadership, the country is continuously setting new dimensions of development.
BJP workers, District Vice President Sanjay Singh, program coordinator Kamlesh
Maurya, Jaiprakash Choubey, Shiv Kumar Choubey, Mamta Rai, and health
department officials and employees were also present on the occasion.
Blessings sought for Modi at the Ganga Dwar of Kashi
Vishwanath Dham: On Wednesday, on completion of 12 years of continuous tenure
of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Namami Gange volunteers performed Aarti of
Mother Ganga at Ganga Dwar of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham with the picture of
the Prime Minister and the national flag. After this, blessings were sought
from Baba Vishwanath and Mother Ganga for the Prime Minister. Ganga Sevak
Rajesh Shukla, who led the program, said that on this day Prime Minister
Narendra Modi broke the record of the first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal
Nehru for remaining in office for the longest period as an elected Prime
Minister in the history of independent India.
Prime Minister Modi has set the record for the
longest-serving Prime Minister. Rajesh Shukla said that June 10, 2026, has been
recorded as a historic day in the history of Indian democracy. Meanwhile, the
district and metropolitan units of the Bharatiya Janata Party also organized
various service, cleanliness, religious, and public awareness programs on this
occasion.
According to BJP Kashi region president Dilip Patel,
cleanliness drives and tree planting programs were held in various assembly
constituencies, major temples, ghats, and public places. Various public service
programs were organized. Fruits, medicine, clothing, soap, and other essential
items were distributed to various hospitals, community health centers, old age
homes, orphanages, and social service institutions in the district.
