
New Delhi, June 1 (H.S.): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan at the Vice President’s House in New Delhi on Monday. This was the Chief Minister’s first meeting with the Vice President since the latter assumed office. During the interaction, the two leaders discussed Assam’s development trajectory and various welfare initiatives being implemented in the state.
In a post on X, the Vice President’s Office stated that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called on Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan at the Vice President’s House earlier in the day.
On the occasion, Sarma said that he felt honoured to brief the Vice President on Assam’s development journey. He described Radhakrishnan as a symbol of humility, hard work, and dedication in public life, adding that meeting him is always a valuable learning experience.
The Chief Minister further stated that Assam looks forward to receiving the Vice President’s continued guidance in its journey toward building a developed and prosperous state.
