New Delhi, June 1 (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Ajaey Kumar, the State Organisation General Secretary of the party in Uttarakhand, as the new State Organisation General Secretary of Rajasthan. The appointment has come into effect immediately.
The announcement was made through a statement issued on Monday by Arun Singh, BJP National General Secretary and party headquarters in-charge.
The post of Rajasthan BJP State Organisation General Secretary had remained vacant since January 2024. The position fell vacant after the transfer of former Organisation General Secretary Chandrasekhar to Telangana. Since then, the Rajasthan unit of the BJP had been functioning without a full-time Organisation General Secretary.
According to a senior party functionary, Ajaey Kumar, a native of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, had been serving as the State Organisation General Secretary of the BJP in Uttarakhand since September 2019. During his tenure, he earned widespread appreciation for establishing effective coordination between the government and the party organisation, while also strengthening the party cadre across the state.
Before his assignment in Uttarakhand, Ajaey Kumar served as the BJP’s Organisation General Secretary for the party’s western region in Uttar Pradesh. He began his public life as a Pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
As an RSS Pracharak, he worked extensively in Uttarakhand for several years. He served as Nagar Pracharak in Srinagar and later held responsibilities as District Pracharak in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar. Subsequently, he also served as Vibhag Pracharak of Almora, further strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level.
With his appointment, the BJP has filled a key organisational position in Rajasthan, a post considered crucial for coordination, cadre management, and the implementation of the party’s strategic and electoral plans in the state.
