(HS): Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday night has announced its list of
candidates for the elections to 17 seats to Maharashtra Legislative Council.
Polling in the
Local Government Authorities constituencies is scheduled for June 18. The 17
seats include by-election in Nagpur, created by election of Chandrashekhar
Bawankule to the Legislative Assembly.
The Megal-alliance
partners settled for seats distribution. BJP is contesting ten seats, while
Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) four and Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) two.
Nagpur seat belonged to BJP where the party’s Dr Rajiv Potdar has been fielded.
