New Delhi, June 1 (H.S.): India’s oil marketing companies have once again announced an increase in the prices of LPG cylinders. However, the latest hike is limited to the 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder and the 5-kilogram “Chhotu” cylinder. No increase has been made in the price of the 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder used by households. Oil marketing companies have raised the price of the 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder by ₹42 to ₹53.50, depending on the city. The revised prices have come into effect from today.
Earlier, on May 1, commercial LPG cylinder prices had already witnessed a steep increase of nearly ₹1,000. In Delhi, the price was raised by ₹993, while in Kolkata the increase stood at ₹998.50. Similarly, commercial LPG cylinder prices in Mumbai rose by ₹993, whereas consumers in Chennai faced an increase of ₹990.50 per cylinder.
Following the latest revision, the price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder in the national capital, Delhi, has increased to ₹3,113.50. In Kolkata, the price has climbed to ₹3,255.50 per cylinder. In Mumbai, commercial LPG cylinders are now available at ₹3,063.50, while in Chennai the price has risen to ₹3,281.50 per cylinder.
Along with commercial cylinders, the price of the 5-kilogram Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder, popularly known as the “Chhotu” cylinder, has also been increased by ₹11 with effect from today. Following the revision, the retail price of the 5-kilogram FTL cylinder now ranges between ₹821.50 and ₹832.50 across various markets.
As far as the 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder is concerned, there has been no change in its price. The last revision in domestic LPG prices took place on March 7, 2026, when the price was increased by up to ₹60 per cylinder.
According to information provided by **Indian Oil Corporation**, the current price of a non-subsidized 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder remains ₹913 in Delhi. In Mumbai, the cylinder is priced at ₹912.50. Consumers in Kolkata continue to pay ₹939 per cylinder, while in Chennai the domestic LPG cylinder is available at ₹928.50.
The latest revision reflects the continued divergence between commercial and household LPG pricing, with oil marketing companies choosing to leave domestic cooking gas rates unchanged while raising prices for commercial and small-capacity cylinders.
