
New Delhi, 07 May (H.S.): Domestic share markets opened positively on Thursday, the fourth trading day of the week. During early trade, the Sensex gained over 100 points while the Nifty crossed 24,350, though subsequent selling pressure introduced some softness.
The Bombay Stock Exchange's (BSE) Sensex is currently trading at 78,014.48, up 55.95 points or 0.072%. Meanwhile, the National Stock Exchange's (NSE) Nifty is trending at 24,366.55, higher by 35.60 points or 0.15%.
Auto and metal sectors are attempting to lift the market, while FMCG, private banks, and realty sectors exert downward pressure. IT, auto, and media stocks are showing gains in today's trading.
Notably, markets closed higher on Wednesday with the Sensex ending at 77,959, up 941 points, and the Nifty at 24,331, gaining 298 points.
