Islamabad, 07 May (H.S.):
The Australian cricket team will tour Pakistan to play a three-match ODI series between the two sides. The first match of the series will be held on May 30 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the Australian team will arrive in Islamabad on May 23. The second and third ODI matches will be organized on June 2 and June 4 respectively at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Australia had toured Pakistan in January this year, where the two teams played a three-match T20I series. Additionally, the Australian team played all their group matches of the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan, although two of these matches were washed out due to rain.
Several senior Australian players are unlikely to participate in this ODI series. Captain Pat Cummins and some others will remain engaged in the Indian Premier League (IPL), as this series overlaps with the IPL's final phase. Cricket Australia has clarified that players participating in the IPL will be permitted to complete their franchise contracts.
This will be Australia's first ODI series since their home ODI series against India in October last year. After the Pakistan tour, the Australian team will travel to Bangladesh on June 9 for a series across all formats.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan team recently lost an ODI series 2-1 against Bangladesh. After the Pakistan Super League (PSL) concludes, the Pakistan team will again tour Bangladesh for a two-match Test series.
