New Delhi, 06 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the values of selfless service, compassion, and humanity by sharing a Sanskrit subhashita on social media. He stated that actions performed without any selfish motive truly identify genuine humanity, offering not only spiritual fulfillment to the individual but also playing a pivotal role in societal welfare.

In a post on the social media platform X today, the Prime Minister wrote that selfless deeds without ulterior motives bring inner joy and contribute to making society better. He also shared the following subhashita:

“अद्रोहः सर्वभूतेषु कर्मणा मनसा गिरा। अनुग्रहश्च दानं च शीलमेतत्प्रशस्यते॥”

The meaning of this subhashita is that refraining from enmity toward all beings through mind, speech, and action; harboring compassion and grace toward everyone; and being generous with charity—these qualities are deemed the most praiseworthy conduct.
