Lucknow,
04 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over
appointment letters to 500 candidates as auditors during a programme organised
at Lok Bhawan on Monday. Chief Minister Yogi said that the first achievement of
any government is the rule of security and law in the state. At the event,
Chief Minister Yogi presented appointment letters to 371 auditors from the
Cooperative Societies and Panchayat Accounts Department and 129 newly selected
auditors from the Local Fund Audit Department. These candidates were selected
through an examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services
Selection Commission. State Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh
Khanna was also present with the Chief Minister on the occasion.
On
this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi said that you all have seen what Uttar
Pradesh was like before 2017 and what it has become since our government
formation in UP. “This change hasn't happened in just one area; it has changed
every sector. Security and law and order are the first achievements of any
government. We have already recruited more than 9 lakh people in government jobs;
No one can point a finger. No discrimination against anyone; selection will be
based on merit. Financial management and fiscal discipline were evident.
Without financial management, money would have been distributed like sweets.
The people of Uttar Pradesh would have been burdened with debt. He said that
without financial management, we would not have been able to make Uttar
Pradesh, to which no bank was willing to lend before 2017, one of India's
revenue surplus states today. Now, Uttar Pradesh's name figures among the country's
top three economies,” he opined.
We
have succeeded in tripling the per capita income in the state and tripling the
size of Uttar Pradesh's budget. In 2017, our new government came to power.
There was no money in the treasury. I was shocked. No bank was willing to
answer my call. I was worried about how a state with such a large population
would survive. Then we decided not to approach any bank but to create our own
resources.
He
said that even while building the Ganga Expressway, we did not go to any bank
for a loan. Including various expenses, a total of Rs. 42,000 crore was spent.
Many banks were standing with the money. We said that now Uttar Pradesh is a
revenue surplus state. Similarly, Chief Minister Yogi also listed the
achievements of his government and congratulated the newly selected candidates.
He
said that financial mismanagement was seen in the SP government. The cost of
the JPNIC center, built in the name of the great man who fought against the
Congress, was said to be Rs. 200 crores, but the expenditure was Rs. 860
crores. The first condition of self-reliance is that one must be financially
disciplined oneself.. JPNIC began to be established in the Socialist Party
government prior to 2017. The cost was Rs. 200 crore, Rs. 860 crore was spent
and it's still incomplete, this is financial mismanagement. Now, by correcting
it, we are taking the state forward.
In
a post on X, Yogi Adityanath remarked, “In line with the resolve of the Hon'ble
Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to empower the youth, making them self-reliant
and self-dependent, today in Lucknow, under the fair and transparent
recruitment process, appointment letters were distributed by the Uttar Pradesh
Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) to 371 newly selected
auditors for the Cooperative Societies and Panchayat Audit Department and 129
for the Local Fund Audit Department. I am fully confident that all of you will
contribute to the creation of 'Developed India-Developed Uttar Pradesh' with
your dedication, honesty, and commitment. Heartiest congratulations to all the
newly selected candidates and best wishes for a bright future.
