Guwahati, 04 May (HS). The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee’s plan to celebrate electoral success by decorating its headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan, with colorful lights remained unfulfilled as the party failed to achieve the expected results in the assembly election counting.
According to sources, arrangements had been made in advance to illuminate Rajiv Bhawan in anticipation of a favorable outcome. However, as trends and results indicated a disappointing performance for the Congress, the celebration plans were called off.
Workers who had arrived with bundles of decorative lights to adorn the party office were seen returning without installing them, reflecting the subdued mood at the Congress camp. Party supporters and leaders maintained a low profile as the counting progressed, with no visible signs of celebration at the headquarters.-----------
