Hardoi,
31 May (HS): Shyam Prakash, a BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh's Gopamau assembly,
has openly said that political triumphs are based on strategic maneuvering,
known as 'tikdam', rather than development initiatives. During his talk to
village leaders, Prakash shared his personal experiences, stating that even
after completing development initiatives like as road building, the predicted
votes did not materialize. He instructed pradhans to use ancient techniques
such as'saam', 'daam', 'dand', and 'bhed' as they prepare for the next
elections.
This
declaration follows the Uttar Pradesh government's intention to appoint
outgoing gram pradhans as temporary administrators of gram panchayats when
their tenure ends on May 26. These pradhans will take over administrative
functions until new panchayats are elected, which should be no more than six
months.
