Bhubaneswar, 30 May (H.S.): Reiterating his government's zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has dismissed former Additional Tahsildar Chittaranjan Pilla from government service over allegations of serious irregularities in the discharge of his official duties.

Pilla had previously served as Additional Tahsildar in Bhubaneswar and was later posted as Deputy Collector in Jagatsinghpur. During his tenure as Additional Tahsildar, several complaints and reports regarding irregularities in decisions related to land administration and revenue matters had surfaced.

Following these allegations, a detailed inquiry was conducted by senior departmental officials. The investigation reportedly revealed multiple instances of irregularities in decisions concerning land-related matters, establishing grounds for disciplinary action.

Acting on the findings of the inquiry, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ordered the dismissal of Chittaranjan Pilla from government service.

The action is in line with the state government's stated policy of maintaining strict vigilance against corruption and administrative misconduct. The Chief Minister has repeatedly emphasized that no corrupt official will be spared and has directed all departments to ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in governance.
