Lucknow,

30 May (HS): Dinesh Tripathi, the chief of the Indian Navy, has advocated for

the development of a dedicated naval theatre command. He underlines the need of

uniting the assets of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard in

strengthening maritime security, particularly in light of present crises in

West Asia.

Tripathi

emphasizes the need of effective military integration, arguing that combined

military formations should prioritize operational preparedness above simple

organizational reform. He cautions that global conflicts highlight the

fundamental link between marine activity, energy security, and economic

stability. The Navy Chief discusses the changing character of combat, pointing

out how modern wars are defined by speed and technology. He emphasizes the

Indian Navy's use of sophisticated technology such as artificial intelligence

to create a resilient force capable of meeting the demands of today's geopolitical

environment.

Tripathi

also believes that the Indian Navy's recent actions have proved its combat

preparedness and strategic importance in the area. The deployment of forces in

response to regional tensions emphasizes the importance of maintaining a

proactive maritime posture.
