Lucknow,

03 May (HS): On the auspicious occasion of Bade Mangal, Aseem Arun,

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare, Uttar Pradesh, has

made a special appeal to all state residents and organizers of feasts. He urged

that this year, this grand festival of serving Lord Hanuman not only be a

symbol of devotion and joy, but also set a prime example of cleanliness and

environmental protection.

The

Social Welfare Minister said that service and cleanliness are two sides of the

same coin. When we serve the devotees of Bajrangbali, it is our responsibility

not to pollute Mother Earth. He appealed to completely stop the use of plastic

or thermocol plates, spoons, and glasses at the food distribution centers. Use

leaf plates (pattal) and paper glasses instead. Place adequate dustbins at each

food distribution site and ensure that devotees do not throw leftovers.

Organizers

should pledge that after the feast is over, not a single leaf or garbage will

be left on the street. Leave the venue cleaner than before. Distribute drinking

water in a way that ensures no wastage.

Aseem

Arun said that the Bade Mangal tradition is a confluence of Lucknow's unique

Ganga-Jamuni culture and a spirit of service. I humbly request all

organizers to celebrate Bade Mangal this year in a plastic-free manner. Your

small gesture will play a significant role in keeping our city clean and protecting

the environment. Let's fulfill our civic responsibility along with devotion.
