Washington, May 28 (H.S.): U.S. President Donald Trump issued a major statement regarding the Strait of Hormuz, saying that the crucial maritime route will remain open to all nations and that the United States will maintain surveillance over the region. He also stated that arrangements related to the area are part of the ongoing discussions with Iran.

Trump made it clear that the Strait of Hormuz would not remain under the control of any single country and should be regarded as an international maritime passage. He said that the United States would continue to monitor the region closely, but no country would be allowed to establish control over it.

He also warned Oman, stating that it should refrain from interfering in regional matters. However, no official response has yet been issued by Oman regarding Trump’s remarks.

Meanwhile, while commenting on the possibility of accepting a temporary agreement concerning Iran or Oman’s involvement, Trump reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime route that must remain open to all.
