
Thane(Maharashtra), 26 May (H.S.): Ahead of the upcoming T20 Mumbai League, Eagle Thane Strikers have appointed former Indian fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni, who has extensive domestic and international cricket experience, as the team’s head coach. The Eagle Thane Strikers, who reached the semi-finals last season, will now look to compete for the title under his guidance this year.
After being appointed head coach, Dhawal Kulkarni expressed enthusiasm about joining the team and working with the players. He said, “The experience so far has been very good. Every player in the team is excited and fully prepared to give their best. We have tried to create an environment where players take responsibility and play fearless cricket.”
Sharing his strategy for the upcoming season, the former Indian bowler said, “The core of our strategy is focus. Our effort will be to keep things simple. We want to focus on one match at a time, and that will be our priority.”
Earlier, team batter Sairaj Patil had said that the team narrowly missed reaching the final last season, but this time their aim is to win the Mumbai League title at any cost.
The T20 Mumbai League will be held from June 1 to June 13. Eagle Thane Strikers will begin their campaign against Bandra Blasters in the opening match of the tournament.
