Prayagraj,
24 May (HS): The murderous attack on Advocate Rajnish Singh alias Rishu shook
the entire city. The incident occurred late at night around 11:00–11:30 p.m.
when Priyadarshini (Principal, Bishop Johnson School, Katra Extension,
Prayagraj) was returning from Phaphamau in a Thar vehicle along with her
associate Archie Timothy alias Sonu. During
the journey, a heated argument broke out with the advocate, and it is alleged
that at Priyadarshini’s instigation, Archie fired a pistol shot. After the
attack, both abandoned the Thar vehicle at Teliyarganj and fled in another car.
Advocate
Parihar stated clearly that Archie Timothy is a notorious history-sheeter
criminal. He has been charged in two serious cases, including the 1997 rape and
brutal murder of Dr. Swati Sarkar, a gynecologist at Nazareth Hospital. He was
out on bail and is now absconding, with a reward announced against him.
Following
this incident, Priyadarshini’s name surfaced prominently in newspapers. She was
arrested but later granted bail on account of being a woman. However, as she is
the principal of a prestigious school, the Diocese of Lucknow (CNI) officials
decided to send her on long leave to protect the school’s reputation and barred
her from entering the campus. A special inquiry committee was also formed.
According
to sources, Priyadarshini violated the order and allegedly tampered with
documents and evidence kept in the school. The committee then issued her a
show-cause notice demanding an explanation and strictly instructed her not to
enter the premises.
Priyadarshini,
a divorced woman, sensing possible dismissal from the school, allegedly adopted
another strategy. She accused the Diocese of Lucknow (CNI) officials as well as
her ex-husband Vishal Nobel Singh of exploitation. Bishop Morris Edgar Dan of
the Diocese of Lucknow (CNI) reportedly stated that neither he, DEB Secretary
Rakesh Chhatri, nor LDTA Secretary Allen Dan had any involvement in the matter.
Sources
question why Priyadarshini remained silent for so long if exploitation had
indeed occurred. Why did she not lodge an FIR earlier? Was it due to the lure
of position or fear of losing her job security? Now it appears that Archie and
Priyadarshini are jointly engaged in tarnishing the image of the Diocese so
that everyone falls under their influence and attention is diverted from their
own misdeeds.
This
FIR raises serious doubts: Could CNI officials truly be involved in such acts?
The matter is not confined to a single criminal incident; it has cast a shadow
on the school’s reputation, public trust, and the judicial process itself. The
attack on the advocate, the fugitive criminal, and Priyadarshini’s FIR together
have plunged Prayagraj’s educational and social system into deep crisis.Whether
Priyadarshini’s FIR is genuine — Whether the incident recorded at Colonelganj
Police Station is accurate — This will only be revealed after investigation.
