
Bhubaneswar, 23 May (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended official work on the fourth Saturday holiday and held important discussions with senior officials at Kharavela Bhawan on key governance and development issues.
As the state government approaches the completion of two years in office, the Chief Minister reviewed the fulfilment of government commitments, implementation of various welfare schemes, progress of the industrialisation process, employment generation opportunities, and the government's future course of action. He emphasized the need for effective execution of programmes and sustained efforts to accelerate development and create more job opportunities across the state.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the law and order situation in Odisha. Earlier, during a high-level meeting, he had provided a number of practical suggestions to the police administration aimed at strengthening public safety and improving law enforcement.
During Saturday’s discussions, the Chief Minister reviewed the implementation of those directives with Home Department Additional Chief Secretary Hemant Sharma and Director General of Police Y. B. Khurania.
Stressing the importance of a peaceful environment for the state's overall growth, the Chief Minister said that maintaining a robust law and order framework is essential for Odisha’s development. He advised the police administration to discharge its responsibilities with efficiency, professionalism and vigilance to ensure peace, security and public confidence.
Chief Minister’s Advisor Prakash Mishra was also present during the discussions.
