Prayagraj, 23 May (HS): Allahabad MP Ujjwal Raman Singh criticized the

government over the deteriorating power system, saying that the public is

crying for water and electricity in this scorching heat, and everyone from the

minister to the guard has nothing to do with the public's problems.

MP representative Vinay Kushwaha said that when former MP Kunwar Revati Raman

Singh was the Power Minister, he had declared Jamunapar as Bundelkhand, through

which he used to supply electricity for 20 hours. The MP representative said

that while being the Environment Minister, MP Ujjwal Raman Singh had got three

power generation plants approved, in which production started in Meja and Bara.

Had the opposition not created hurdles, the third Kachari Karchana would also

have been started.

The MP representative informed that the second unit of 2400 MW has also been

approved in NTPC Meja which would be completed in five years, from which 1320

MW will be available now and the second unit of PPGCCL Bara is also about to

come, due to which together Prayagraj Jamunapar will be at the first place in

the country in power generation, this is the result of strong political will to

build the future.
