Imphal, 21 May (HS): A 26-year-old man accused in a sexual assault case has been arrested by the Manipur Police from Imphal East district, officials said on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Sadaf, a resident of Hatta Golapati Masjid Achouba in Imphal East, was apprehended from the Checkon Auto Parking area during an operation conducted in connection with an FIR lodged at the Women Police Station.

Police said the case involves allegations of sexual assault and was under investigation by the Women Police Station in Imphal East district.

Officials added that further investigation is in progress to ascertain additional details related to the case.-----------
