
New Delhi, 02 May (H.S.): TVS Motor Company, India's third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume and the world's third-largest motorcycle maker, recorded a 7% year-on-year increase in total sales for April, reaching 473,970 units compared to 443,716 units in the same month last year.
The company stated on Saturday that two-wheeler sales grew 6% to 455,333 units from 430,150 units in April 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales rose 8% to 348,545 units, up from 323,647 units a year earlier.
According to TVS Motor, motorcycle sales declined to 200,039 units in April from 220,347 units in the previous year. In contrast, scooter sales surged 24% to 211,158 units from 169,741 units.
The company reported a 36% increase in electric vehicle sales, totaling 37,771 units compared to 27,684 units last year. Three-wheeler sales jumped 37% to 18,637 units from 13,566 units in the prior year.
TVS Motor noted that its total international business grew 3% to 120,008 units from 116,700 units in April 2025. The company maintains a global presence spanning the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Latin America, and Central America.
