New Delhi, May 19 (H.S.): The Brazil national football team head coach Carlo Ancelotti announced the squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Monday. The squad features the return of star forward Neymar, who has been recalled to the national side for the first time since 2023.

The 34-year-old Neymar will be playing his fourth FIFA World Cup. He remains Brazil’s all-time leading goal scorer in international football, having netted 79 goals in 128 appearances.

When Ancelotti announced Neymar’s name at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, the decision received a loud and enthusiastic response from supporters present at the venue.

Brazil have been placed in Group H of the FIFA World Cup 2026 alongside Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland. The team will begin its campaign on June 13 against Morocco.
