New Delhi, 18 May (H.S.): India’s domestic bullion market witnessed a marginal downward trend during early trading hours on Sunday, with gold and silver prices registering symbolic declines across most major cities.

Due to the softening in prices, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,56,920 and ₹1,60,900 per 10 grams in most parts of the country. Meanwhile, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of ₹1,43,840 to ₹1,47,490 per 10 grams.

Silver prices also continued to weaken for the fourth consecutive day. In the Delhi bullion market, the white metal was trading at ₹2,79,900 per kilogram.

In the national capital, Delhi, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,57,070 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,43,990 per 10 grams.

In the country’s financial capital, Mumbai, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,56,920 per 10 grams, whereas 22-carat gold was selling at ₹1,43,840 per 10 grams. Similarly, in Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,56,970 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,43,890 per 10 grams.

Apart from these major cities, Chennai recorded the highest gold prices among the listed metropolitan regions, with 24-carat gold trading at ₹1,60,900 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,47,490 per 10 grams.

Likewise, in Kolkata, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,56,920 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,43,840 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, the price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,56,970 per 10 grams, whereas 22-carat gold was being sold at ₹1,43,890 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,57,070 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,43,990 per 10 grams. Similarly, in Patna, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,56,970 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,43,890 per 10 grams.

In Lucknow’s bullion market, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,57,070 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,43,990 per 10 grams.

Like several other states across the country, bullion markets in Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha also witnessed a mild downward trend in gold prices today. In the capitals of these states — Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar — 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,56,920 per 10 grams. Likewise, 22-carat gold in all three cities was being sold at ₹1,43,840 per 10 grams.
