The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member squad for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 and the tri-nation T20 series to be held in Ireland ahead of the tournament. The tri-nation series involving Ireland, Pakistan and the West Indies will be played in Dublin from May 28 to June 4 and is being seen as part of the team’s World Cup preparations.

Fatima Sana has once again been entrusted with the captaincy of the Pakistan team. Meanwhile, Eman Fatima, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Syra Jabeen and Tasmia Rubab will feature in a Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time.

From the squad that recently played the T20 series against Zimbabwe, only Amber Kainat has been left out, while experienced fast bowler Diana Baig has returned to the side. Six players have also been named in the reserves list.

Pakistan squad: Fatima Sana (captain), Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Diana Baig, Eman Fatima, Gul Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali (wicketkeeper), Nashra Sandhu, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Syra Jabeen, Tasmia Rubab and Tuba Hassan.

Reserves: Amber Kainat, Momina Riasat, Sadaf Shamas, Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah and Umm-e-Hani.

Pakistan’s fixtures in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026:

June 14: India vs Pakistan, Birmingham

June 17: Pakistan vs South Africa, Birmingham

June 20: Pakistan vs Bangladesh, Southampton

June 23: Pakistan vs Australia, Headingley

June 27: Pakistan vs Netherlands, Bristol

Before the World Cup, Pakistan will also play two warm-up matches, against Sri Lanka on June 6 and against Scotland on June 9 in Derby. Pakistan will begin its World Cup campaign on June 14 against arch-rivals India at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan recently completed a clean sweep against Zimbabwe in a T20 series at home.
