15 May (HS): In view of the global crisis arising from the ongoing wars in the
world, in line with the call made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the
interest of the country and the countrymen and the instructions of Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath, the State Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay
held an important review meeting with the departmental officials through video
conferencing in his office room in the Assembly.
During
the meeting, Minister Yogendra Upadhyay directed to ensure 100% compliance with
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to the countrymen to save fuel, adopt indigenous
products and strengthen self-reliant India, and the instructions given by Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that all officers and employees should come
and go to the office using public transport at least one day a week, which will
ensure fuel savings as well as contribute to environmental protection.
The
Higher Education Minister also emphasized the need for changes in departmental
procedures and directed that most meetings be conducted via video conferencing,
reducing unnecessary travel and saving time and resources. He emphasized that
this initiative is not limited to administrative procedures; it must be
transformed into a mass movement. He urged all Vice Chancellors, Directorate
officials, and representatives of educational institutions to effectively
implement this campaign in their respective institutions and involve students
and staff. In addition to Principal Secretary M.P. Agarwal and Secretary Amrit
Tripathi, over 100 officials from all state and private universities and the
Directorate of Higher Education participated in the meeting via video
conferencing.
