Mumbai, 15 May (HS): A security officer at Pulgaon

Ammunition Depot in Wardha district died due to bullet injuries on Friday. The injuries

were caused during the practice session. The deceased has been identified as

Subedar Major Om Bahadur Khand, Junior Commissioned Officer, Defence Security

Core (DSC).

Firing practice is a regular affir in the firing

range of the Central Ammunition Depot. On Friday morning Subedar Major Khand was

accidentally hit by bullets and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where

he breathed his last.

An enquiry into the incident has been initiated. The

CAD issued a press note informing about the incident and expressed grief about

death of its officer.
