Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed from Delhi this morning, beginning a six-day five-nation tour that will take him to the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Italy.
Today's Schedule: Departure and First Stop in UAE
PM Modi left Delhi aboard IAF Air India One today, heading to Abu Dhabi, the first leg of his diplomatic visit. The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in the UAE capital later today, where he will meet President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During this stopover in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders will exchange views on bilateral issues, with a particular focus on energy cooperation, as well as regional and international matters of mutual interest, including the ongoing conflict in West Asia. The UAE leg of the tour is expected to last about two hours before PM Modi continues to his next destination.

Rest of the Tour Itinerary
After the UAE, PM Modi will travel to the Netherlands (May 15–17), where he will call on King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima and hold talks with Prime Minister Rob Jetten.
From there, he will visit Gothenburg, Sweden (May 17–18) for bilateral talks with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
The centerpiece of the tour is the 3rd India-Nordic Summit in Oslo, Norway (May 18–19), where PM Modi will meet Nordic leaders and address the India-Norway Business and Research Summit. The tour concludes with an official visit to Italy (May 19–20), where he will meet Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President Sergio Mattarella.
MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed that over the next six days, PM Modi will engage with several world leaders across a wide-ranging agenda aimed at strengthening bilateral ties amid ongoing geopolitical upheavals. The visit focuses on trade, investment, energy cooperation, defense, technology, green transition, and regional issues.
A high-level business delegation is accompanying the Prime Minister, signaling India's commitment to converting diplomatic engagements into concrete economic outcomes.
