New Delhi, 15 May (H.S.):

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced, with the approval of the central government, that the NEET (UG) 2026 examination will be conducted again on 21 June.

The agency appealed to candidates and parents via social media to rely only on information released through the NTA’s official channels. For any information or assistance, the agency provided the email neet-ug@nta.ac.in and helpline numbers 011-40759000 and 011-69227700. Meanwhile, a high‑level meeting on the NEET exam was held late last night at the residence of the Education Minister.

The meeting involved a detailed discussion on preparations for the upcoming exam, security arrangements and various aspects of exam administration. Present were several senior officials, including the Secretary (Higher Education), Secretary (School Education), the Director General of the NTA, the Chairman of the CBSE, and the Commissioners of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. The date for the forthcoming exam was finalised during this meeting.
