Thiruvananthapuram, 15 May (H.S.): The results of the Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations for the academic year 2025–26 will be announced today at 3 p.m., bringing an end to anxious anticipation among more than 4.17 lakh students across the State and abroad.

The results will be officially declared jointly by the Director of General Education and the Principal Secretary of the Education Department. The announcement comes after the Examination Board held its final review meeting earlier this week to evaluate and approve the results.

Officials confirmed that the Chief Secretary had granted permission for the publication of the results. Under normal circumstances, the State Education Minister announces the SSLC results. However, this year confusion arose after the Assembly election results were declared but before the new government and the new Education Minister formally assumed office.

The delay had triggered concern among students, parents and academic circles, with fears that postponing the results could adversely affect higher secondary admissions and other academic procedures. Following these concerns, the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) reportedly directed the Education Department not to wait for the new minister before releasing the results.

Teachers’ organisations had also strongly urged the authorities to publish the results on May 15 itself, warning that any further delay could disrupt admission schedules and other follow-up processes related to higher education.

A total of 4,17,497 students appeared for the SSLC examinations in Kerala this year. In addition, 633 students from Gulf centres and 386 students from Lakshadweep had registered for the examinations.

Students can access their results immediately after the official announcement through the cloud-based portal, https://results.kite.kerala.gov.in, as well as through the “Saphalam KITE” mobile application available on the Google Play Store.

Apart from individual results, the portal and mobile application will also provide a detailed “Result Analysis” feature, including school-wise, educational district-wise and revenue district-wise performance reviews, along with subject-wise analysis reports.

In a new initiative introduced this year, students will also be able to directly share their results on social media platforms in image or PDF format through the portal and mobile application.
