New Delhi, 15 May (H.S.): Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has targeted the central Narendra Modi government over the increase in the prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG following the elections in five states. Kharge expressed concern over the growing burden on the public’s purse.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice on “work from home” and saving fuel, Kharge wrote in an X post that this crisis is a man‑made crisis created by the Modi government. He said the Modi government lacks foresight, and the public needs to understand this. The people are paying the price for it. The rise in the prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG is affecting industries, household budgets, and farmers alike. Kharge added that during elections everything appears normal to the ruling party, but once the polls end, a crisis spreads everywhere and inflation reaches its peak.
