
Guwahati,12 May (HS): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalk Mohan Bhagwat is scheduled to arrive in Assam on May 13 as part of his visit to attend an RSS training camp in Hojai.
According to information shared by RSS North Assam province publicity chief Kishore Shivam, Dr Bhagwat will land at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Borjhar on Wednesday evening and will proceed directly to Hojai.
The RSS workers’ development camp — Karyakarta Vikas Varg-I (Second Year) — began on May 11 at the Sanskar Mandir Project campus in Hojai and will continue till June 1. Dr Bhagwat is expected to remain present at the training camp on May 14, 15 and 16.
After completing his stay in Hojai, the RSS chief will return to Guwahati on the morning of May 17. He will spend some time at Sudarshanalaya in Barbari before departing for Nagpur.
RSS sources said the visit forms part of the organisation’s regular training camp engagements attended by the Sarsanghchalak across different regions of the country.
The 20-day training programme is being conducted by the Assam Kshetra unit of the RSS. Only volunteers who have previously completed Sangh Shiksha Varg training are eligible to participate in the Karyakarta Vikas Varg-I camp.
A total of 103 volunteers from five provinces under the Assam Kshetra — North Assam, South Assam, Tripura, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh — are taking part in the camp. Among them, 56 are from North Assam, 20 from Tripura, 13 from Manipur, eight from South Assam and six from Arunachal Pradesh.-----------
