New Delhi, 12 May (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta performed puja and worship with her family today at the holy shrine of Maa Kamakhya in Assam and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and good health of all citizens of the country.

After the darshan, she told reporters here that the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Assam for the third time is possible only due to the grace and blessings of Maa Kamakhya. “The people’s love, trust and the Mother’s blessings must always push Assam forward and help it develop,” she said. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we must all walk together on the path of a developed India and a developed Assam.”

The Chief Minister added that northeast India represents the “Aṣṭalakṣmī” (eight‑fold prosperity) of faith, culture, spiritual awareness and developmental potential. “This sacred land of Maa Kamakhya, soaked in energy, meditation and the ancient Sanātana tradition, has inspired the entire nation for centuries,” she said. She prayed to Maa Kamakhya for India’s continued progress, prosperity, and glory on the path of national advancement.
